Leo van den Berg
Leo van den Berg is a professor emeritus of urban studies and urban and regional econimics at Erasmus University Rotterdam, domains in which he has worked for more than 40 years. He was director of the European Institute for Comparative Urban Research (Euricur) for more than 25 years and has participated in studies in more than 130 cities around the world. He is a member of Global Urban Competitiveness Project (GUCP) since 1995. |

Fernanda do Carmo
Fernanda do Carmo has been, since 2017, the Director General of the Territory. Of the projects carried out by the DGT in the course of the exercise of the office, the proposal to change the National Program for Territorial Planning Policy and the Land Tenure Chart 2015 are highlighted. Xosé Solla
Xosé Solla holds a PhD in Geography and Professor at the Faculty of Geography and History of Santiago Compostela University. It specializes in world heritage cities. He also carried out work on the recent changes in rural areas and other aspects of Human Geography. He also devotes part of his research to the development of tourist analyzes concerning historical cities, cultural itineraries and pilgrimage routes. He was director of the Center for Tourism Studies and Research (CETUR). at the University of Santiago de Compostela (1996-2014). |
Fernanda Cravidão
Fernanda Cravidão is a full professor of the Department of Geography and Tourism of the University of Coimbra. She was CEGOT coordinator between 2008 and 2011. Her areas of scientific interest focus on the Geography of Population, Tourism, and Territory and Development. She has collaborated throughout his career with universities in Argentina, Brazil, USA, Spain, India, Morocco and Cuba, among others. Since 2016 she has been a Correspondent Academician at the Lisbon Academy of Sciences. |
Telma Gonçalves
Telma Catarina Gonçalves is an economist with a degree in economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, a master's degree in finance and a postgraduate degree in Foresight, Strategy and Innovation, with experience in finance, management and strategic innovation. She was a member of the CMVM - Portuguese Securities Market Commission and currently performs technical duties in the Portuguese Tourism Strategy Directorate, I.P .. She was part of the executive team responsible for the preparation of the Tourism Strategy 2027 and the Action Program for Wine Tourism. |
Augusto Perez Alberti
Augusto Perez Alberti is Professor of Physical Geography at the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Santiago de Compostela. He has developed research activities at the Universities of Guelph (Ontario, Canada), Strasbourg (France), Laval (Quebec, Canada), Montevideo (Uruguay), Mendoza (Argentina), São Paulo (Brazil) University of Chile at the University of ESPE (Quito, Ecuador). He has participated in 25 projects, having directed more than a dozen of them. His research topics include glacial and periglacial geomorphology, coastal geomorphology, landscape and climate. |
António Vieira
António Vieira is an Integrated Researcher at CEGOT and Professor at the Department of Geography of the University of Minho. His research areas include Physical Geography of Portugal, Natural Hazards and Vulnerabilities, Geomorphology and Geopathology. The research topics focus on the erosive processes after forest fires and mitigation measures, in the geopatrimony and natural hazards. He is president of the Portuguese Association of Geomorphologists and vice president of Risks - Portuguese Association of Risks, Prevention and Security. |
Marisa Matias
Marisa Matias is currently a European MEP elected by the Bloco de Esquerda. It integrates the Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and Economic Affairs Committees (ECON). She is a Researcher at the Center for Social Studies and holds a PhD from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra. Her areas of interest include the relationship between environment and public health, science and knowledge, and democracy and citizenship. Between 2009 and 2012 he was a member of the Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI). |

Luísa Ucha
Luísa Ucha is a professor of Geography at José Gomes Ferreira Secondary School, Benfica School Group. In 2016 she was assigned to perform the duties of Deputy in the Office of the Secretary of State for Education. She is co-author of the programs of Geography, Recurrent Education, Capitalizable Units, 10th, 11th and 12th years. Coordinated and co-authored the National Curriculum of Basic Education, Essential Skills of Geography. DEB (2001) and Curriculum Guidelines of Geography for the 3rd cycle of Basic Education. |
